This cuddly handmade goose doubles as a large heating pad that provides gentle warmth. Its head and feet are stuffed with organic sheep's wool and the outer, soft covering is made from organic cotton. Inside the tummy is a bag of natural spelt. Warm the bag in the oven at low temperature, or put it in the freezer to provide a cooling effect.

To warm the pouch inside: Unzip the zipper at the opening of the animal's belly and remove the cushion containing the spelt husks. Put the pouch of spelt husks in the oven for 3-5 minutes at 165 degrees Fahrenheit. The pillow should never be heated in the microwave, otherwise it will burn. Spelt husks are the shell of spelled grains. Therefore, the heat storage is not comparable with the cherry stones or grape seed pillows. In the case of the spelt husks pillow, the air in the cavities between the husks is warmed up, especially while cuddling with the pillow. While in the case of the cherry stones and grape seeds, the entire core can store the heat for a longer period of time. Always check for appropriate heat level prior to placing back inside cuddly animal and giving to child. To cool: Put the cushion for 30 minutes in the freezer compartment. As needed, consult the manufacturer's use instructions for additional tips.
